It’s been one hell of a day for the Grammys, overshadowed by the untimely death of the legend Whitney Houston. Our girl on the ground in LA, Claire Schaverien is hanging around the red carpet to give us the news and gossip.
Firstly, the latest on Whitney Houston is that the autopsy is complete so we should know the actual cause of death very soon.
Claire reported back that LA was buzzing although it was a strange and somber mood. A highlight of the night and probably one of the most emotional moments was Jennifer Hudson’s tribute to Whitney. There was not a dry eye in the house after that performance.
Adele came away with a record 6 gongs from the awards, which is fabulous news considering her recent illness. Other winners included best Rock album for the Foo Fighters, Wasting Light and best Pop duo went to Tony Bennett and the late Amy Winehouse with Body and Soul
